Why we place Monthly Review as Communist / Far-Left
Monthly Review is an independent socialist magazine founded in 1949, in the Marxist political-economy tradition of Paul Sweezy and Harry Magdoff. It reads capitalism as a global system of monopoly and imperialism and treats that analysis, not party loyalty, as its starting point, which places it on the far left as a matter of stated method.
